Sorry to everyone for the delay in the new website. As usual, lay plans to do something useful and the whole world goes on its head! Rest assured that we are still working to set the new website up a.s.a.p. Thankyou to everyone for their kind support and let's hope that 2005 is the year for us all. Good News! We are having
the website re-designed professionally. This will mean that the databases
can be searched much more usefully than they are now. It will also be
possible to upload any Jones data yourself. Although we will have to
pay for this work, the website will continue to be FREE for
anyone who wishes to use it. We hope by doing this it will make the website
far better for all of us who are researching our Jones ancestors. |
| Welcome to our website. We
are Debbie & Trev Jones of Birmingham, England and have put this website
together in the hope that we can all help each other find our Jones ancestors
from the UK. We have just finished a complete 'overhaul' of the website, so if there are items that have changed, it is part of the 'evoloution' of the website as we progress to improve it for everyone. Please Sign our Guestbook |

Our
History is our Jones ancestry dating back to 1775, Cardiganshire, Wales.
It follows our forefathers journey to Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan and some
of the achievements they made particularly in the world of professional
football for over 50 years. Although Jones is a common name, this is by no means a common family. See if you can find any links to our family history. |
| Merthyr Tydfil is a description in both words and pictures of this town from its days as a small village through to its important role in the industrial revoloution. There is also a collection of the people who were born there that achieved greatness through the arts, sports and social side of life. | ![]() |

The Coat of Arms was provided by Viv and Bruce Jones. The purists will say that this cannot be a true coat of arms for each family has its own distintive heraldic description. However, we think it is a nice addition to the website so we thought that everyone with the surname Jones would enjoy this little piece of unique history. |
| The Jones UK Database is an ever growing list of Jones ancestors from all over the UK that have been and are still added by the many people all over the world that are seeking their elusive ancestors. Is yours there? | Notice Board is where you can search & post any ancestor that you are searching for regardless of their surname. |
| Jones BDM & Census Records is a collection of data from around the UK which has been added by many visitors to the website. BDM means Births, Deaths & Marriages. | Old Postcards is a wonderful collection placed on the website by David Jasper of Australia. You can also read the messages | ![]() |
| The Jones Bristol UK Database is a huge collection of various Baptisms & Marriages which have been transcribed by Carole Fry and uploaded to the website. |
| As well as the above descriptions there
is a lot more on the website that we feel is of benefit to anyone researching
this popular surname. If you are having difficulty finding help, then try
posting a message to the 'Can You Help?' or 'Assistance Required ' pages. Want to know what your ancestors may have eaten? Then have a look at the 'Recipes' pages. All of the information that can be viewed on the website can be reached by clicking on the links to the left. Please Note: We cannot carry out research for you. Thank you. |
