Another
member of our Jones family who has achieved considerable personal success
is Gareth Jones, a 4th great grandson of Morgan Jones from Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn.
Gareth was at one time a professional golfer. He played in such tournaments
as the British and Welsh Opens. Between 1975 and 1985 he operated a succesful
golf school at golf courses in the South East of Englnd. He was one of the
founding directors of the communications company Orange. Orange was launched
in April 1994. By June 1999 Orange had become the 12th largest company in
the UK with a value of 20 billion pounds, and had been acknowledged as the
brand launch of the decade. The future's bright, as they say…. |
